Saccharomyces boulardii is yeast derived from genus Sacchromyces. Under controlled conditions of fermentation the yeast sacchromyces yield the products Saccharomyces boulardii. Successive steps of recovery and purification of the products enables its use for medicinal purpose.

Saccharomyces boulardii is a probiotics & non-colonizing yeast species which is not related to the yeast group belonging to candida.
