Enzymatic
Biofertilizer
Excessive and imbalanced use of chemical fertilizers has adversely affected the
soil causing decrease in organic carbon, reduction in microbial flora of soil,
increasing acidity and alkalinity and hardening of soil. Moreover, excessive use
of nitrogenous fertilizer are contaminating water bodies thus affecting fish fauna
and causing health hazards for human beings and animals. Hence world is shifting
gradually to replace chemical fertilizers with Enzymatic Biofertiliser. Biofertilizers
are ready to use live formulates of such beneficial microorganism having ability
to secret enzymes and external enzymes which on application to seed, root or soil
mobilize the availability of nutrients by their biological activity in particular
and help build up the micro flora and in turn the soil health in general. Most
biofertilisers belong to one of two categories: nitrogen fixing and phosphate
solubilising. Nitrogen
fixing biofertilisers fix atmospheric nitrogen into forms which are readily useable
by plants. These include Rhizobium, Azatobacter, Azospirillum, Blue Green Algae
(BGA) and Azolla. While Rhizobium requires symbiotic association with the root
nodules of legumes to fix nitrogen, others can fix nitrogen independently. Phosphate
solubilising micro-organisms (PSM) secrete organic acids which enhance the uptake
of phosphorus by plants by dissolving rock phosphate and tricalcium phosphates.
PSMs are particularly valuable as they are not crop specific and can benefit all
crops. AETL
offers AGROSEB - a unique solution for all crops. AGROSEB is balanced
blend of various microorganisms and enzymes.
Compositing biofertilizers
are used for hastening the process of compositing and for enriching its nutrient
value. Composting process is enhanced by enzymes secreted by microorganisms to
hydrolyse pectins, xylans, hemicellulose, cellulose with whole cellulases releasing
beneficial micronutrients for the plants. AETL's SEBcompost is correct
product for sebcomposting. |
